PimpMyVinyl – Support
PimpMyVinyl recognises the records you play on your turntable and shows what's playing on your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, with the history of everything you listen to.
Getting started
- iPhone or iPad as the listener: in Settings, turn on "Use this iPhone as a server" and place the device near the speakers. The app listens through the microphone and recognises each track.
- Apple TV: it finds the iPhone or iPad acting as a server on your home network by itself, and shows what's playing on the TV.
- Discogs (optional): connect your Discogs account in Settings with a personal token, so tracks are matched to your pressing of the record, with the right sides.
Common questions
The Apple TV doesn't find the server. Make sure the iPhone or iPad acting as a server and the Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network, and that Local Network access is allowed for PimpMyVinyl on the iPhone or iPad (Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network). If needed, enter the address shown in the app's Settings under Manual Address on the Apple TV.
The microphone turned off. After 10 minutes of silence the microphone turns itself off to save battery. Open the app on the iPhone or iPad to turn it back on.
A track isn't recognised. Recognition needs an internet connection and some volume: move the device closer to the speakers.

PimpMyVinyl – Supporto
