Rectilinear – Privacy Policy

Rectilinear is a photo editing extension for Photos on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It straightens perspective from guide lines you draw and corrects your lens's distortion, vignetting and colour fringing. The developer does not collect any data from the app.
What the app does not do
- No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
- The app never connects to the internet. Nothing you do in it is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Your photos
- Rectilinear only sees the photo you choose to edit, and only while you edit it: Photos hands it to the extension and takes the result back.
- All processing happens on your device. Your photos are never uploaded anywhere.
- To read the camera and lens used, the extension reads the photo's metadata (EXIF) on the device. It is used only to pick the matching lens profile.
- The guide lines, the crop and the lens correction settings are saved by Photos together with the edit, so you can change or revert it later. They stay in your photo library and sync only through your own iCloud Photos, if you use it.
Lens profiles
The lens profiles come from the Lensfun database and are included in the app. Looking up a lens never requires a connection.

Rectilinear è un'estensione di modifica per l'app Foto su iPhone, iPad e Mac. Raddrizza la prospettiva a partire dalle linee guida che disegni e corregge distorsione, vignettatura e aberrazione cromatica dell'obiettivo. Lo sviluppatore non raccoglie alcun dato dall'app.
Cosa l'app non fa
- Nessun account, nessuna analisi statistica, nessuna pubblicità, nessun tracciamento.
- L'app non si collega mai a internet. Niente di ciò che fai viene inviato allo sviluppatore o ad altri.
Le tue foto
- Rectilinear vede solo la foto che scegli di modificare, e solo durante la modifica: è Foto a passarla all'estensione e a riprendersi il risultato.
- Tutta l'elaborazione avviene sul dispositivo. Le foto non vengono mai caricate da nessuna parte.
- Per riconoscere fotocamera e obiettivo, l'estensione legge sul dispositivo i metadati della foto (EXIF), usati solo per scegliere il profilo dell'obiettivo.
- Le linee guida, il ritaglio e le impostazioni di correzione vengono salvati da Foto insieme alla modifica, così puoi cambiarla o annullarla in seguito. Restano nella tua libreria e si sincronizzano solo tramite le tue Foto di iCloud, se le usi.
Profili degli obiettivi
I profili degli obiettivi provengono dal database Lensfun e sono inclusi nell'app. Per trovare un obiettivo non serve alcuna connessione.
